We all need something to get excited about now that Autumn in the Lake District seems to be in full swing. The nights are getting darker and the weather is getting even more unpredictable than usual, however, Autumn also brings the return of Peak Bagger IPA, a firm favourite with lovers of hoppy beer. You will find the tasting notes below and, if they entice you in, you will find it debuting at The Old Crown this weekend, followed by Carlisle Beer Festival and other Cumbrian pubs next week.
“Our latest iteration of a perennial favourite, we decided to go all in this year and have brewed a single-hop version of PB IPA. We have used one of our favourite hops – Mosaic. So named because of its complex flavour profile, the predominant flavours and aromas are those of berries and citrus fruit. 4.7% with a good malt base, low bitterness and big hop character – it won’t hang around for long!”
